Episode 8
“I Bought a New Journal to Fix My Life. It’s Now a Coaster.”
So I bought a fresh journal.
Not just any journal, one of those soft blush pink ones with gold edges and a magnetic flap that makes you feel like you're doing something.
I played soft music. Cleared my table. Arranged a pen diagonally like it was a flat-lay shoot. Because if I was going to get my life together, it had to look like it first.
Page one: I wrote “Day One” at the top. Tried to write something deep and meaningful… ended up scribbling “I’m tired” and drawing a sad little flower.
Then life got loud and busy. I blinked and three weeks had passed.
Now the journal just lives on my table, humbly holding my water bottle like it was never meant to do anything else.
Sometimes I stare at it while scrolling and sigh,
“We had so many dreams.”
